On Friday, May 1, the two stars announced their upcoming song, “Stuck With U,” which is set to debut on May 8. In partnership with the First Responders Children’s Foundation and SB Projects, the two singer-songwriters are putting out this track for a good cause; proceeds from both the streams and sales will go towards “grants and scholarships for children of healthcare workers, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, [and] police officers and firefighters serving at the front lines during the global pandemic.”
To get fans even more excited about the project, Justin and Ariana released an instrumental sample on Instagram, encouraging fans to help them make the official video for the song. “I want to see you guys having fun in quarantine,” Justin wrote on IG on Friday. “This is the prom song for everyone who can’t go to prom now. Tweet us videos using #stuckwithu or #stuckwithuvideo of you in your prom dresses or suits with your loved ones having fun or dancing to the instrumental. If you don’t have that, just have fun with your loved ones.” Ari added that fans should send videos dancing with loved ones or pets — or even just by themselves, because “that’s beautiful too.”
Some fans dug into the IG archives to prove just how long Arianators and Beliebers have been waiting for this moment. In 2014, Justin posted a photo of himself and Ariana together in the studio to congratulate her on a No. 1 song. He hashtagged the ‘gram with “#ArianaBieberDuet,” followed by a series of question marks. It seems as though the day has finally arrived!
