NLE Choppa has finally dropped his song “Walk em Down“, which features Roddy Ricch. Being his first feature with Roddy Ricch, this song has been highly anticipated by his fans since October 2019, while he was previewing a snippet in his Instagram story.

Numbers are rising

Within hours after release, “Walk em Down” has created a buzz and reached the trending section on YouTube. We can look forward to hearing this any many other great tracks on his upcoming debut album Top Shotta sometime this year, since a release date hasn’t been settled yet. As of today, the track has officially hit the Top 40 Spotify charts. We expect to see it continue rise to the Top 20 by the start of April.

It is noteworthy to mention that the song has been produced by the well known CashMoneyAP & Los Hendrix. We have to admit that NLE Choppa’s choice of producer was spot on!

Dance Challenge takeover?

With “Walk em Down“, NLE Choppa has started a dance challenge named #walkemdown, which has taken over parts of TikTok and other platforms. Other artists, such as Lil Nas X, started trends on social media, which ended up increasing his following drastically. These challenges have become the new standard of the music industry today.

Health concerns regarding his Depression

Lastly, we encourage his fans to show support and empathy towards him. Choppa has admitted to facing serious mental health struggles last week, and hinted to committing suicide on the last day of this year, 2020. Some believe that there may be a connection between his depression and the breakup with his ex girlfriend Mariah.

Yiig announces a new short film titled “District Girl”, a series about a good woman making poor choices. Yiig was inspired to create this short film to expose to the consciousness of today’s society a profound shift affected by substance addiction and lack of care.

The short film tells a story of young individual woman, who seems to have some problems going on and is therefore easily affected by today’s society and drugs. She is well dressed and lives in a modern, great-looking home. As she isn’t truly happy with herself, she starts to look for ways to become a more interesting person. By taking the path of drugs she slowly is ruining her life and creating more problems. This short film exposes what is happening in the real world behind closed doors. It talks about the issues that many don’t want to shine light upon. Yiig decided to bring awareness with his song ‘District Girl’, and create a visual short film to compliment the entire creative aspect.
